More About Coach Aaron

I have trained numerous athletes, ranging from 6 years old to professionals. I have a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in health. Not only do I train but I can also provide dietary and nutritional needs for said clients. I have worked in a private gym setting personally training athletes, as well as the common man looking to shed some pounds. I am looking to expand my training skills and use my expertise in an area, which I love and live for, basketball. I have also worked in group training sessions with bootcamps and every Summer I stay busy with working multitudes of basketball camps training kids or assessing college/professional athletes in combines. I have an abundance of knowledge and I hope to be able to share it with you.

Currently, I utilize my skills at a physical therapy clinic, as I pursue my doctorate in physical therapy. Last year, I was the starting combo guard in for C.B. Cellera in Girona, Spain. I played at Riverside Community College and won a State Championship in 2009. After RCC, I transferred to La Sierra University. While playing at La Sierra, I helped the team to 2 back-to-back Conference Championships. Meanwhile, I obtained the Press Enterprise's Player of the Week award for the Inland Empire. I also hold the school records for 3pt-made and shooting percentage.

A typical session with me will differ depending on the player's skills and abilities. Generally, I have the player warm up with some fundamental ball handling drills, followed by injury prevention exercises and stretching. Depending on the session emphasis, I will give an example of a shooting day: we would work on shooting form and biomechanics. I would emphasize technique drills. I also use video analysis to show where the current biomechanics are failing and how to correct them. Next, we will combine ball handling and shooting drills, utilizing the proper shooting mechanics. Finally, finishing with free-throws and strength/core exercises. We always will end any session with deep stretching focusing on flexibility and most importantly injury prevention.

I also offer in game analysis; I will take the time to attend the athletes games to address and analyze how the athlete performs with in game situations, shedding light on where athlete needs improvement.

Coach Aaron was friendly and helpful for my session. I liked what he taught me and he was very patient!

(The only nitpick I had was that he said he would get back in the app with the things we went over, but he got back to me with something brief and not what we worked on! Perhaps I got confused with someone else)

Coach Aaron is great. He listened to my goals and was able to quickly start working on those and making big improvements within the first session. Highly recommend.

Aaron was patient, knowledgeable, and knew how to pinpoint areas of improvement. He was able to call out blind spots I've had for years in just a matter of minutes. He also listened to my goals and what I want to accomplish as a basketball player.

Coach Aaron was great, for the first session we walked through the fundamentals and he highlighted the focus areas for us to work on in future sessions. He was also incredibly flexible with scheduling which I appreciate. Looking forward to the next session

We did an online session and it worked out great! Highly recommend Aaron, he is fun to work with and gives valuable feedback.

Aaron has been great so far and is only getting better for me. I'm a middle-aged man with decent skills and athleticism for pickup games at the park, but I want to be well above average... I want to rock the park. Aaron is steadily evaluating my weak spots and helping me round out my game with drills around those, which is a totally new - but fun - experience for me. He's also helping me with some jump training so that, in due time, I could potentially jump with the best of the non-pro/college set. Most importantly, though, after just two sessions, I think he's beginning to understand what works to motivate and get through to me. On that note, I'm look forward to our future sessions, because I think they'll get more and more productive. Thanks, Aaron!

Coach Aaron was really great with my 9-year-old son. He kept the lesson really interesting, communicated very clearly, focused on my son's weak spots, and asked my husband and me how to best keep my son focused (answer = don't do any one thing for a long period of time.. change it up). He did a great recap at the end of the session and gave my son some goals for his next team practices and games.

Coach Aaron is fantastic. My 9 year old son loves working with Coach Aaron weekly on his basketball skills. Two thumbs up!

Coach Aaron is a great coach. My son learned something new. He played game scenarios with him. My son made two long shots in the game he played later.

We went over the fundamentals on my first session. He did a great job covering all of them

Aaron really knew how to continent with my 13 year old. He enjoyed working with Aaron and definitely felt like the time was very well spent. I liked the recaps he gave after the training sessions and he was easy to work with. I definitely recommend him!

Good coach

Aaron was amazing and I couldn’t ask for more. He brought along an assistant coach so that my two boys who are different in age can get personalized sessions. He is very passionate and engaging and my two boys absolutely loved the basketball session.

Hey my man you're wassup bro. I like how you're detailed and recap what we did after each session and how you also taught me some new stretches for my quads.

Coach Aaron was great! Extremely knowledgeable and very relative. I felt confident after my first session that Aaron had the skills and knowledge to help take my game to the next level. I'm looking forward to future sessions with Aaron!

Great

Aaron is great! The one hour we spent was very useful, and I was able to take what he taught me and apply it in a real game. I will definitely be booking more time with him once I get the chance!

While I didn't grow up a basketball player, I'm now in a weekend pick up game with friends and was looking for some professional advice on improvement. In our first session, Aaron determined very quickly how to deliver results, both offensively and defensively. As a result, I'm much more confident going into the next game. I strongly recommend training with Aaron to anyone wanting to improve!

My son had an hour session and after his session he was very detailed on his feedback and was insightful on his plan moving forward .He understands the athlete body very well and my son was looking for a trainer that can breakdown the body mechanics for him, he is super eager to get back in the gym with him.

Coach Aaron is awesome. After just a one hour session, I felt like my game had already improved significantly with his help. He also provided extremely detailed feedback afterwards and detailed out a specific plan on how I can get better as a player. I will be continuing my training with him for sure.

Coach Aaron is a wonderful basketball coach. My 9 year old has blossomed after only a few sessions with him - he even scored his first 2 baskets EVER in his last basketball game. Aaron clearly knows basketball but he is also kind and encouraging and my son really enjoys (and looks forward to) his sessions with Aaron.

My 11 yr old son had a great time with Coach Aaron, he definitely knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Coach Aaron! In our first session, we worked on footwork and basic rules of the game. I have absolutely no experience so getting hands on coaching was extremely beneficial for me. My goal is to hold my own in a pick up game. I think having Coach Aaron will for sure help me achieve that goal. Thanks!

Coach Aaron is great! He is organized, proactive, and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend him.

My son had a session with coach Aaron and he enjoyed it very much and learned a lot from him. I can see coach Aaron's attention to detail and uses out of the box thinking to help my son learn and improve. I will definitely continue to use Aaron to coach my son.

I have seen so much improvement in my shooting, confidence, and ball handling. I am now the leading scorer on my team and earned a starting position. I even beat the boys!
