Q

"Does wrapping a ball in a plastic bag really improve your handle? "

A
Hey Ben,

My name is Coach Brandon. I'm a CoachUp "Hall of Fame" coach located in the Boston area. To answer your question, basketball players have been tying plastic bags over basketballs for years. I believe this technique is an easy to do and quick way to help strengthen your ball handling skills. Having a plastic bag over your ball will decrease the grip of the ball which will make the ball more difficult to handle and control. So after hours of practicing with this hardship, when you take the bag off the ball you feel will instantly feel more confident in your ability to control the ball. However everybody is different, different techniques are more effective with different people, the only way to find out what works for you is to put the work in, and see for yourself.
