Overview
This lecture based clinic will offer a lot of opportunities to learn and practice new running skills, drills, and exercises necessary for today’s distance runners. Dress ready to move!
Key Topics:
· Dynamic warm ups focusing on activation, mobility, and preparation for practice.
· Core Stability and learning kinesthetic awareness necessary to sustain running form.
· Running form basics. We will cover specific drills, verbal cues, learn rhythm, and address body position.
· Training overview with regards to a younger runner and how to address volume, intensity, racing, and rest for the middle school, junior high, and high school athlete.
· Other topics will be teaching consistency via injury prevention through recovery modalities such as mobility, stretching, foam rolling, and more!
