Field Hockey- Peak Performance Skill & Athletic Development Program
High School Field Hockey Players (Grades 9–12)
Saturdays starting April 4 – August 29 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
One session per week
Group size capped at 12 athletes

CoachUp and Bando Performance are excited to offer the Field Hockey Peak Performance Program, designed specifically for high school athletes who want to sharpen their stick skills, elevate their overall game, and build the strength, speed, and power needed to excel in the fall season. This structured program combines CoachUp’s expert on-field training with Bando Performance’s athletic development to help players become more skilled, stronger and more explosive.
Each two-hour session includes one hour of focused field hockey skills training followed by one hour of strength and conditioning designed to improve movement quality, speed, power, and overall athletic performance.
Session Structure (2 Hours)
1. On-Field Skill Development (60 Minutes)
Technical Foundations - Grip, stance, and body positioning and strong fundamental mechanics
Stick Handling & Ball Mastery - High-repetition ball control drills, tight-space stick work and change-of-direction control
Passing & Receiving - Short and mid-distance passing, receiving under pressure and first-touch control and quick release
Shooting Mechanics - Proper shooting form, power generation and accuracy development
Footwork & Agility - Game-speed movement patterns, change of direction and eaction-based drills
Decision-Making & Game Application - 1v1 challenges, small-sided competitive scenarios and reading space and defensive pressure
All skill sessions emphasize repetition, precision, and game-speed execution to ensure athletes develop confidence and consistency.
2. Strength & Conditioning (60 Minutes)
Strength and conditioning sessions focus on building a strong athletic foundation through proper movement mechanics and progressive performance training.
Movement Mechanics - Squat, hinge, lunge, push, and pull patterns, core stability and control
Speed Development - Acceleration mechanics, sprint technique and multi-directional movement
Power & Explosiveness - Jump training, medicine ball work
Strength Development - Resistance training, progressive overload and proper lifting technique
Training is developmentally appropriate and designed to help athletes move better, get stronger, and become faster for the physical demands of the field hockey season.
