Yoga makes good athletes better. This time-honored discipline imparts flexibility, balance, and whole-body strength, creating improvements in an athlete’s form, efficiency, and power. In addition, yoga’s attention to concentration and breath awareness improves mental focus and mental endurance—hidden assets that become especially important at the end of a long training session or race. 

This workshop presents a practical approach to yoga for athletes and will benefit both new and intermediate yoga practitioners. We will explore energetic poses and sequences which help warm up the body and are effective prior to your workout, as well as restorative poses that relax the muscles and restore full range of motion following your workout. Discover how to yoga can make you a stronger athlete and allow you to train more efficiently by creating balance between strength and flexibility; and between training and recovery.
