This catching clinic is for girls 12u-14u who consider themselves to be intermediate (see instructions for more specific details).

This will focus on the basics of catching that include:

•stance

•proper throwing (from feet)

•quick transfers

•blocking

•and catching agility

The purpose is to increase catcher knowledge, speed, and accuracy.

There are a total of three clinics:  January 29th, February 19th, and March 12th.  You do not need to sign up for all three clinics but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  Each clinic is one hour long.

Parents/Guardians: This is a clinic for intermediate athletes that are in 12u-14u. There is

a later clinic that is for 14u-18u advanced. Please be mindful of which clinic you are signing your player up for and that she is appropriate placed.

·Intermediate catchers have 2-3 years of catching experience. They are accurate in their throws and are not afraid to block the ball.

·Advanced catchers have caught for more than 3 years. They are accurate in their throws and can throw from feet or knees (or are just beginning to throw from their knees consistently). They can block the ball consistently.
