Event Description:

The Speed Essex Track & Field/ Cross County Camp is designed to provide quality instruction in the techniques and training that are necessary for young athletes to reach their full potential. We are aware that each athlete represents a wide variety of talent, motivations, education, and experience and we are prepared to tailor our program to each athlete’s needs.


The Speed Essex Track & Field/ Cross County Camp is intended for boys and girls ages 8- 18 in the upcoming school year.


The camp is open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, or gender. The camp will be capped at 100 campers. We hope you can join us! Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Week 1 Track & Field

What to expect in track & field?

Track and field workouts and other physical activities help burn excess energy and release mood balancing endorphins. Improved motivation; The hardest part about exercising is getting started. Seeing successes in track and field and regular practice helps increase motivation and encourages goal setting for bigger and better things.

Week 2 Cross Country

What to expect in cross country?

Cross country is a challenging, rewarding sport that involves coping with varying train, from grass, asphalt, gravel, mud and dirt to streams, hills, prairies and forests. The sport requires endurance and perseverance, as well as teamwork and individual effort.
