Event Description:

Good Friday Basketball Skills Session


CoachUp is excited to offer a special Good Friday Basketball Skills Session, designed to help players get quality reps, sharpen fundamentals, and build confidence in a focused, high-energy training environment. This 60-minute on-court skill development session gives athletes the opportunity to work on key guard skills, scoring moves, and live game situations that translate directly to game play.


1. On-Court Skill Development with CoachUp (60 minutes)

Ball Handling & Guard Skills

  • Two-ball dribbling series to improve control and court vision
  • Change of pace and change of direction moves
  • Pressure handling with defensive shadow drills

Shooting & Scoring

  • Form shooting and catch-and-shoot reps
  • Pull-up jumpers off the dribble
  • Finishing at the rim, including contact layups, floaters, and reverses

Game Situations

  • 1v1 and 3v3 scrimmage work
  • Reading defenses and understanding spacing concepts
  • Competitive shooting games to simulate tryout pressure

This Good Friday session is a great opportunity for players to get extra work in, compete, and continue developing their skills heading into the next phase of their season.


2. Strength & Conditioning with Bando Performance (60 minutes)

Tailored to basketball’s demands: explosiveness, lateral quickness, stamina

  • Warm-Up & Mobility
  • 3 Dimensional Dynamic warm-up focusing on different movement techniques/strategies. 
  • Full body mobility and flexibility 
  • Strength Training
  • Full body strength training, education and execution of basic foundational exercises that yield the most results for increasing athletic performance.
  • Explosiveness & Agility
  • Vertical and horizontal force development
  • Rotational Power and core stability development
  • Speed development (resisted or un-resisted)
  • Conditioning / Game Shape
  • Metabolic conditioning for the sport of basketball
  • Partner competition drills to mimic tryout intensity
