The Sunday high jump clinic is a complete workout starting with drills moving to jumps and ending with strength training.
Sessions will include:
Turn drills
Circle running drills
Take off drills
Walk through drills
How to build a measured approach
How to Use your jumps in a meet
Curve bounding
A typical session will start with curve drills then move to take off drills. During the drills we discuss how the high jump works and what part of the high jump this drill represents.
After drills, we move to the pit and take some short approach jumps trying to incorporate what we learned from the drills.
We will end the session with curve bounding for strength training.
