This 8-week soccer development program is designed for young athletes ages 8–10 looking to build confidence, improve fundamentals, and develop a strong athletic foundation in a fun, positive, and energetic environment. Combining CoachUp’s on-field instruction with Bando Performance’s athletic development training, players will improve both their soccer skills and overall movement abilities.
Each 2-hour session is designed to keep players engaged through skill repetition, competition, and age-appropriate game situations while emphasizing effort, teamwork, and development.
- 60 minutes of on-field soccer training focused on technical fundamentals, creativity, and game awareness
- 60 minutes of athletic performance training focused on coordination, balance, speed, agility, and overall athletic development

Session Breakdown
1. On-Field Skill Development (60 minutes)
Technical Foundations- Ball mastery and dribbling control
- Passing and receiving fundamentals
- First touch development
- Balance and coordination with the ball
- 1v1 attacking and defending
- Small-sided games and decision-making
- Passing combinations and movement off the ball
- Learning spacing and teamwork concepts
- Proper shooting mechanics
- Finishing on the move
- Fun competitive shooting games
2. Strength & Conditioning with BANDO Performance (60 minutes)
Tailored to Soccer's demands: explosiveness, lateral quickness, stamina
- Warm-Up & Mobility
- 3 Dimensional Dynamic warm-up focusing on different movement techniques/strategies.
- Full body mobility and flexibility
- Strength Training
- Full body strength training, education and execution of basic foundational exercises that yield the most results for increasing athletic performance.
- Explosiveness & Agility
- Vertical and horizontal force development
- Rotational Power and core stability development
- Speed development (resisted or un-resisted)
- Conditioning / Game Shape
- Metabolic conditioning for the sport of Soccer
- Partner competition drills to mimic tryout intensity
