Phase 2: Advanced Softball Performance (60 Minutes)
Focus: Game-speed execution, high-intensity reps, and advanced skill application in both hitting and defense.
1. Advanced Hitting & Offensive Skills
- High-velocity batting cage reps: focus on timing, pitch recognition, and barrel control
- Multi-angle hitting drills: off-speed, inside/outside, and situational adjustments
- Pressure hitting competitions: “Hit for Points,” situational RBI challenges, 2-strike focus
- Tee and front toss progressions: advanced sequencing, stance load, and rotational power tracking
- Swing analysis and feedback: exit velocity, launch angle, and swing path optimization
2. Advanced Fielding & Defensive Development
Infield:
- Rapid glove-to-hand transfers and quick-release throws under timed pressure
- Double-play feeds and short-hop reaction drills
- Footwork, positioning, and throws on the run with limited space
Outfield:
- Crow hop and angle adjustments for live ball reads
- Quick-release throws to bases with accuracy challenges
- Reaction and communication drills with live tosses
Catcher Development:
- Blocking and pop-up recovery under pressure
- Quick transfer and throw drills to simulate steal attempts
3. Game Situations & Competitive Application
- Small-area scrimmages: bunt defense, rundowns, double-play situations
- Live situational defense: quick rotations, cutoffs, and communication
- Decision-making under pressure: timed drills with limited reps to simulate tryout intensity
- Scrimmage challenge: continuous live-play scenarios combining hitting, defense, and throws at game speed
2. Strength & Conditioning with BANDO Performance (60 minutes)
Tailored to Softball's demands: explosiveness, lateral quickness, stamina
- Warm-Up & Mobility
- 3 Dimensional Dynamic warm-up focusing on different movement techniques/strategies.
- Full body mobility and flexibility
- Strength Training
- Full body strength training, education and execution of basic foundational exercises that yield the most results for increasing athletic performance.
- Explosiveness & Agility

- Speed development (resisted or un-resisted)
- Conditioning / Game Shape
- Metabolic conditioning for the sport of Softball
- Partner competition drills to mimic tryout intensity
