Event Description:

Clinic Breakdown

1. On-Field Skill Development (45 minutes)Hitting & Offensive Skills
  • Swing mechanics: stance, load, and bat path
  • Tee work and front toss for consistency
  • Situational hitting (moving runners, bunting, hitting behind runners)
  • Live hitting reps to simulate game speed
Fielding & Defense
  • Infield: glove work, footwork, quick transfers, throwing on the run
  • Outfield: drop steps, angles, and crow hop throws
  • Position-specific reps for catchers, infielders, and outfielders
  • Communication drills for calling the ball and field awareness
Game Situations & IQ
  • Base running: leads, jumps, sliding technique
  • Cutoffs and relays
  • Small-sided defensive scenarios (bunts, rundowns, double plays)
  • Scrimmage-style reps to simulate tryout environments
2. Strength & Conditioning with BANDO Performance (45 minutes)Tailored to softball’s demands: rotational power, quick reaction, and durability
  • Warm-Up & Mobility
  • 3 Dimensional Dynamic warm-up focusing on different movement techniques/strategies. 
  • Full body mobility and flexibility 
  • Strength Training
  • Full body strength training, education and execution of basic foundational exercises that yield the most results for increasing athletic performance.
  • Explosiveness & Agility
  • Vertical and horizontal force development
  • Rotational Power and core stability development
  • Speed development (resisted or un-resisted)
  • Conditioning / Game Shape
  • Metabolic conditioning for the sport of softball
  • Partner competition drills to mimic tryout intensity


Athletes will be separated into two groups: High School and Middle School age groups
