Finishing clinic

Finishing clinics are aimed to get players thinking about scoring. Players are encouraged to execute goals with proper technique and focus on getting the ball in the net during real game scenarios. Goalkeepers are involved in the session to help create that game scenario. 

*N.B. These sessions are for competitive players only NOT BEGINNERS

The finishing clinic consist of:

• A technical warm up with dribbling and passing & receiving
• Striking techniques: using the laces and the instep of the foot when finishing the ball
• Finishing around the goal with a Goalkeeper with crosses, passes and direct play
• Finishing around the goal with a Goal net
• Emphasis on first touch and finishing

The session will be 1 hour and 30 mins and focus on:

Technical skills like:

• First touch on the ball
• Passing & Receiving the ball
• Controlling the aerial ball
• Dribbling with the ball
• Running with ball
• Turning with the ball
• Striking the ball
• Doing a skill move with the ball 

Physical:

• Speed, Agility and Reaction
• Acceleration & Deceleration sprints

Psychological:

• Positive motivation
• Mental preparedness
• Competitive environment

Games:

• 1v1 and 2v2
