More About Coach Zayne Ramirez
Post college I had the pleasure working in the Austin, TX for a company called Avila Creative Soccer - an indoor soccer training facility working with individual and small group training ages 12 - 19 as well as part of the Texas A&M coaching staff during their summer soccer camps. Upon moving back to the Houston area, I immediately began working in enrichment programs for younger children (3 - 5 yo) and Academy level players (6 - 12 yo) with Dynamos. Beyond club, I also have been privileged coaching high school girls varsity soccer at Katy St. John XXIII. I have a BS in Kinesiology from Texas Lutheran University and a Masters in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State. I am certified in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) and hold a National Diploma through United Soccer Coaches of America. I also hold a C license through USSF.

Clients can expect sessions focused on mechanics in all facets of technical ability from footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting. Awareness and body mechanics are huge when it comes to development on individual skill and tactical ideas within games. Upon arrival, activation takes place with ball familiarity (footwork, touches with agility movement patterns, coordination, etc.). 15 - 20 min later we will begin movement on and off the ball through P.O.Ps (Pattern of Play) to enhance understanding of movement related to position and/or apply technical to tactical training. Shoot and striking ability through mechanics is focused towards the end of the session to develop more understanding. Through the entire session, a goal is to develop confidence and assertiveness on the abstract side of training.
