More About Coach Yannick
Innovative coach that has 8 years of experience, working with all players ranging from senior professionals, college players and development players. Also have experienced working with special needs players (special olympics) and recreational players. Have coached in both recreational programs, social soccer organizations and development travel soccer teams. In addition, have worked with high school teams and college teams. Currently technical director of a leading development travel club in NYC. Certified United Soccer Coach (NSCAA) Advance National license and USSF C license. Masters in Coaching from Johan Cruyff Institute and UEFA B license.
Growing up in a very sporty culture in South Africa, I have always been involved in soccer. Captained Montgomery College in Maryland and went on to play semi professional for Brooklyn Italians. Have won previous individual awards and named on All American teams.
Sessions vary with focus on perfecting technique, skill and physical coordination. Once a player has been assessed, I will tailor a session that involves perfecting the body mechanics and technical adjustments to perfect the quality of an individual skill level. Sessions will also take place in varies types of surfaces (fields, squash court, street soccer). This aids in becoming comfortable with the different surfaces and have a better relationship with the ball.
