More About Coach Yadek
I have two years of experience coaching middle school basketball, where I focused on developing players’ fundamental skills, basketball IQ, and teamwork. Additionally, I run my own basketball training business, Next Level Training (N.L.T.), where I specialize in 1-on-1 and small group sessions tailored to athletes aged 10 and up. Through N.L.T., I have worked with players of varying skill levels, helping them improve specific aspects of their game, such as shooting, ball handling, and overall conditioning, while building confidence and fostering a love for the sport. My experience spans both coaching team dynamics and providing individualized attention to athletes, allowing me to effectively address diverse training needs and goals. While I am not yet certified, I continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills to better serve my athletes.
I began my basketball journey playing AAU basketball in the 8th grade, where I gained valuable experience competing against high-level talent from across the region. Playing AAU allowed me to develop my skills in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment while learning the importance of teamwork and adaptability. This experience prepared me for high school basketball, where I earned a spot on the varsity team during my senior year. Competing at the varsity level helped me further refine my game and take on a leadership role within the team. These experiences laid a strong foundation for my growth as a player and prepared me to compete at the collegiate level, where I played three years of junior college (JUCO) basketball.
A typical session with me is completely tailored to the specific needs of the athlete. Before starting, I have a detailed conversation with the client to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and overall goals. This allows me to design a personalized plan that targets their areas for improvement while building on their existing skills. During the session, we focus on addressing weaknesses with specific drills, such as improving shooting mechanics, enhancing ball-handling skills, or developing better footwork. At the same time, we work to perfect their strengths, ensuring those aspects of their game become consistent and reliable. I also emphasize conditioning, basketball IQ, and situational awareness to help athletes become more well-rounded players. My goal is to create an environment that challenges the athlete while boosting their confidence and preparing them to excel in competition.

Timothy Rodriguez/ Athletic Director for The Citadel in Charleston, NC (Testimonial)
His greatest quality that makes him a good basketball player, but even a greater coach/trainer is his IQ and understanding for the game.
