More About Coach Woody

I have over 10+ years of playing and training in strength , conditioning, and basketball. I've trained individuals of all levels and ages. As a coach/trainer I worked for Northeast Catholic High School, Shipley School, and Rutgers University. I've trained professional athletes in the NBA and Overseas, I've also trained high level and mid major division one players. One of my primary clients is a professional basketball player in the BBL which is Germany's top league. I typically work with ages 12 & up, but I have workout plans catered to players of each age group.

I played basketball from middle school through the collegiate level. I briefly played overseas in the Dominican Republic before I decided to focus on becoming a coach/trainer. In my career I have won All Catholic First Team 3x, All Conference 3x, 1x PCL Championship MVP, 1x Rookie of the Year award, I am the all time assist leader at both my high school and college, I hold the most assist in a single season for my college, I also rank 2nd in steals in schools history at my college.

A session with me would include learning the fundamentals of the game and learning transferable skills that will translate from sessions into the game. I run a high intensity session, I focus on quality not quantity, I am a huge motivator and I demand the best out of my clients. I am proficient in ball handling, shooting, pick and roll, passing, and helping you develop a high basketball IQ. I am knowledgable of shooting techniques and teaching the proper mechanics to develop an efficient jump shot. I also like to focus on footwork, conditioning and balance, all which would be incorporated into each session.

Client Reviews

Wasn't expected to really work so hard, but Coach Woody spaced it out for me to stay interested and have fun while doing so. I felt like I was preparing for something bigger, you know. I learned drills that become embedded and it is safe to say I have a good coach to pick up anytime. Fun to talk to and hypes you up to keep going.
