More About Coach Billy

I first coached youth clinics in 1983 and received the USSF Lifetime Coaching License in 1995. I have coached Club Level U-9 - U18, High School JV and Varsity, all mixed gender to include a competitive adult women's team in the late 1990's.

All around athlete. Soccer and swimming were primary until age 16 when soccer became my primary sport. I also played high school basketball, water polo and wrestled. I played Men's Division I soccer at East Carolina University and a long semi-pro career ending when I was 38.

Coach Billy, with his extensive background and experience can really identify in just a short period of time, what needs to be emphasized for the athlete to be better. He builds a quick and excellent rapport with both parent and athlete. He is positive, optimistic and a realist. He tells it straight and provides the needed instruction by adapting to what he sees during training. He has a well structured lesson plan and provides immediate feedback to assist the growth of the player. I recommend his training to anyone that seeks to better their game both by physical skill and soccer IQ. Thanks Coach!

Dear Bill, When I told Robert this morning that you would no longer be coaching his team he burst into tears and began sobbing uncontrollably. He was distraught. He was quick to point out that the team was formed for the kids and as far as he knew, the kids all loved you, they were having fun and they were learning soccer...I'm sure Robert's reaction was pretty typical of all the boys. It's obvious that you put your heart and soul into this team...thanks for all you have done for Robert...take care and expect a call from us mid-July after our vacation.
