More About Coach William

I've been playing for 19 years and have played Indoor 6's and 4's; Grass and Sand 4's and Doubles. I've been coaching since 2005 and found more passion for the sport when I started coaching. I'm a visual and audio teacher. I've coached club and high school as well as done private lessons for ages 5-65. I'm impact certified by the state of Colorado and USAV. I've been around a variety of coaches and believe High Quality Reps at a High Quantity create the desired Scholarship Player and Athlete. My job, I feel, isn't done until the player athlete feels like they accomplished their goal. Mentally, anyone should understand their own learning curve and place expectations according to their athletic experience with object velocity sports. Its not about being better or worse player but having more vs less experience. With the right guidance and drive anyone can learn to play at the desired level.

As a high school coach I've been apart of 2 High schools that have gone to State. At Brighton High School as an Assistant Varsity coach only lost 3 matches during my stay. Personally I've won about a dozen tournaments in doubles and 6's. I've coached collegiate club and made the top 3 in the state of Colorado during my season.

First: warming up the athlete regardless of what they want to work on with dynamic range of motion stretches.
Step 2 & 3 are for the First session:
Second: find out what the athlete can and can't do based on some ball control and placement, speed and agility tests.
Third: find out what kind of mental athlete they are and how they respond to encouragement and criticism.
Fourth: use all the information collected and begin drills/games for desired and specified skills for desired improvement.
Fifth: end the lesson with overall performance, things they learned. The "Sandwhich." and cool down static stretches.
