More About Coach Vito
I have about 2-3 years of experience coaching high school soccer, where I focused on developing both technical skills and team strategy. I’ve also worked with younger recreational kids, teaching basic soccer skills and fostering a love for the game. In addition to soccer, I can also work as a physical training coach, working on general fitness, strength, and conditioning for various age groups. I typically work with high school-aged athletes and younger kids, but I’ve also had experience with different skill levels, from beginners to more advanced college level players.
Currently playing college D2 level soccer. Played 4 years high school varsity. Also played semi-pro in the UPSL my junior and senior year before going to college. I have interest in the Pro-level as well.
In a typical session, I start by getting to know the athlete’s playing style and strengths. I want to understand what kind of player they are before diving into specific drills. Once I have a sense of their abilities, I tailor the session and future sessions to focus on key areas—whether that’s improving ball control, passing accuracy, decision-making, or overall fitness. I combine drills that challenge technical skills with tactical awareness and work on conditioning to build endurance when necessary. My approach is adaptable, so if the player needs more focus on specific areas (e.g., shooting, defending, or positioning), I adjust accordingly. The goal is to always keep it balanced between skill development and game application.
