More About Coach Venicia
I worked with Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California as part of the staff for the girls soccer team. I do personal trainings with kids ages 9-18 and currently working as the 4th coach at University of California, Irvine.
I played club soccer for Slammers FC in California. I then played 4 years of NCAA Division 1 soccer at Princeton University. I started my professional career in 2022/2023 with Pumas UNAM Femenil, Mazatlán Femenil in 2023/2024, and Club Puebla Femenil in 2024/2025
I always start my sessions with an agility warm up to get the legs moving and the brain working too. I believe that getting good touches on the ball is the key to gaining confidence for you session, so starting with a simple bit effective warm up is important. I then work on movements with the ball that focus on opening the hip up, checking spaces, and a good first touch into the open space. I then transition this into a position-specific drill that works on breaking out of spaces and movements off the ball to open up into spaces that are free.
