More About Coach Tyler
I coached Babe Ruth for Acton-Boxborough Youth Baseball and a Lou Tompkins All-Star Baseball League team in Massachusetts. I previously helped train high school football and baseball players in the Bay Area and Boston area. I have been coaching for seven years now and I played baseball at all levels (HS, College, Pro-Am and Indy League) but professionally. I have the passion to coach/train players in this sport. I know how to prepare them for life on and off the field. Coaching is an opportunity for me to make a positive and lasting impact on a child's and young man or woman's life. I grew up with some pretty bad coaches and coaches who would cuss and swear at me. I don't believe that is productive, I can calmly explain to an athlete the mistakes that they are making and the adjustments they need to make without ever raising my voice.
Due to a shoulder and ankle injury in college my collegiate career ended but I continued to play in the Independent baseball leagues in CA and I played in the Arizona World Series for NABA. I also played in numerous national tournaments. I played for the National Adult Baseabll Association for 5 years (5x All Star, 3x Golden Glove winner). I was a very successful athlete in both baseball and football. I pitched and played every position on the diamond in high school, college and in my amateur career.
We will start with stretching and warm ups and then move into drills. Training will vary from focusing on technique and mechanics one session to focusing on drills that will strengthen certain skills and develop tools. I believe it is useless doing multiple different things that target different areas in one session. Less is more and the more time I spend with your child/you the less holes there will be in their/your game. We must first get technique and mechanics down before we can move onto drills and specialty training. Every athlete is different, some athletes may be able to move right into intermediate drills and training while other may need to focus on getting their mechanics and the fundamentals of the game down before moving on so we can prevent injuries. The foundation of any great hitter, fielder and pitcher is found in there mechanics and techniques. Coaching the game I love is my passion and my goal isn't only to improve your child's/your baseball skills but to teach them discipline and a work ethic that he/she/you can take into school, their job or future job. I want to prepare these kids/you for a potential baseball career and life after baseball. I want to be a great influence on every athlete I coach and help them/you in the areas outside of sports that may be weighing you down or that you may be struggling with. I am flexible with my pricing, depending on your financial situation I am willing to work with you. My focus is in helping you or your child improve your skills.

Kris / Parent (Testimonial)
Tyler helped establish my son's fastball, change up and slider. I noticed a difference in the way he threw, his velocity and his accuracy after just four sessions with coach Ty. He also taught my son some really good pick off moves to 1B and 2B. He knows his baseball and he knows how to instruct. I was very surprised and impressed with how well Tyler coaches. He sounds and acts like someone who has 40 years of experience under his belt.
David / Parent (Testimonial)
At first I was skeptical about having Tyler coach my son because of his age but after speaking with him for 5 mins my mind was changed and I knew my son was in great hands. Not only did Tyler exceed all my expectations, he gained all of my respect. He didn't just talk sports with my son, they would talk about his homework, how school was going, what areas in school he struggled in and offered to help him improve his grade in his math and history class. He really shower my wife and I that he cares about our son. Our son is now a freshman playing on Varsity thanks to Tyler's committment.
Jeff / Head Coach (Testimonial)
He shows great patience with the kids and knows how to discipline them without making them feel bad. He's a great encourager and the kids really listen to him. I let him take over as pitching coach and I immediately saw the difference in our pitchers in the next game so I put him in charge of training the kids in all areas of the game. Every single kid on our team has improved drastically since Tyler took over training them all in fielding, hitting, base running, pitching and catching. Outstanding coach and a very respectful young man.
