Trevor S.

I am an accomplished soccer coach with a diverse background spanning the professional, collegiate, and youth levels. I currently served as an assistant coach for the UNLV Rebels men's soccer program, a position I took in 2023. Prior to joining UNLV, I held significant leadership roles at the NCAA Division III level, most notably as the head coach for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) from 2022 to 2023. During my tenure at CMS, he was part of the staff recognized as the SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022, a season in which the team achieved its first-ever undefeated regular season against Division III opponents.

My earlier coaching career includes experience as an assistant coach at DePaul University in 2021, where I also served as a volunteer assistant in 2020, and a volunteer assistant role at Sacramento State in 2019. In addition to my collegiate work, I remain active in youth development, coaching the 2013 and 2009 ECNL teams for Folsom Lake Surf Soccer Club.

I established myself as a primary playmaker during my collegiate career at Indiana University from 2014 to 2018. A major highlight for me was my 2018 senior season, where I led the entire NCAA with 16 assists—a performance that set a single-season record for the Hoosiers. I’ve always taken pride in showing up when it counts most, and that year I managed to record six assists during the NCAA Tournament alone. One of my favorite memories on the pitch was providing the game-winning assist in the 2017 national semifinal, which sent our team to the championship match. By the time I graduated as a two-time captain, I had appeared in 82 games, totaling 12 goals and 27 assists while helping lead the program to back-to-back College Cups.

After college, I transitioned into the professional ranks in the United Soccer League (USL). I started my pro journey with Toronto FC II before moving to the Greenville Triumph SC. My time in Greenville was particularly special, as I was part of the squad that captured the 2020 USL League One Championship. Long before my time at Indiana or in the USL, I was developing my game in California, where I was honored as a 2013 High School All-American at Ponderosa High School. Throughout my career, I’ve worked hard to balance my performance on the field with my studies, earning multiple Academic All-Big Ten honors and a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection.
