I have 5 years of formal private coaching experience, helping kids in Hawaii gain confidence in themselves through comprehensive baseball training. Along with traditional baseball training techniques, I utilize vision training, physical therapy related injury prevention methods, as well as specialized strength and conditioning training to help give your athlete an edge in every aspect of their game. I have done over 400 paid lessons for kids ages ranging from 6-18 in the Pearl City, Aiea, Moanalua, Kahala and Manoa areas.

I have recently been hired by Farrington High school as an Assitant coach at their Varsity Level

I have a certification for baseball coaching from MLB, as well as Heat Illness and Concussion Prevention from the NFHS. I am working towards attaining my Strength and Conditioning Certification from the CSCS

I had the chance to compete with and against some of the best coaches, trainers, and players from the State of Hawaii. Although I was not as talented as them physically, I listened and learned from their great knowledge and wisdom. Now I want to pass down the lessons they taught me, to you!

Whether it would be pitching, hitting, fielding, or base running, my sessions are tailored to your needs. I listen to both parents and athletes to develop a long term plan to satisfy the needs of everyone.

All athletes play the game uniquely; I never try to take that uniqueness away. What I do is analyze your child's technique and assess both strengths and weaknesses. Through research from online or local resources, I then design a plan to help your athlete reach their goals.

I use an app called Technique, which allows me to take, edit, and share video of your child's technique and break it down in slow motion, frame by frame. Video analysis is used by all pro teams and many college teams, and I want to bring that beneficial experience to your and your child for a fraction of what it normally costs.

I also employ Zepp, an advanced swing monitor system, which allows me to gauged bat speed, hand speed, and bat angle at the point of impact. This allows us to truly gauge improvement to a scientific level, so you and your athlete can see the progress from day 1.

My coaching process is always positive and uplifting for a child. Not ever child is going to grow up to be a pro, but my goal is to instill the love of playing baseball into every athlete I meet. By gaining a love of the game, your child will gain memories and life lessons that they will cherish for a long time.

Coach Travis has been working with my 7 year old for a few months now. His ability to work and communicate with young kids is apparent as my son looks forward to practice each week. Coach Travis not only offers a very productive practice, but also manages to be fun and challenging for the kids. Each practice has been tailored to meet my sons short and long term goals which allow for a progression of drills that vary from week to week. Speaking for myself, I appreciate after each practice he takes the time to go over areas that need improvement as well as specific drills we can do at home. Coach Travis has also been able to identify core fundamentals that require improvement rather than applying bandaid fixes. As a result, my son has been consistently improving from week to week and is more excited to practice and play the game.

Not only did he quickly identify some fundamentals based issues my kids were having but he interacted with them in a way that, even while being corrected, made them feel positive. Our son, Deven, had his first training session this past Saturday and he had nothing but great things to say about Coach Travis.
