More About Coach Tim

Hello,I am a husband, father, coach, instructor. I have a passion to teach, hitting, pitching, and fundamentals that is done at a new 5000 sq,ft facility that about 1/3 is baseball. 5 cages, all turf, and soon to be all dirt, clay pitching mound for instruction. Or at my home with a custom home plate area for tees and soft toss, A portable pitching mound to work on the delivery mechanics. I have two boys that I was very involved with, guideing, teaching and discussing their games.Yes, discussion is a very neccessary part of learning. They are now Professional Baseball players and both are at the AAA level with their organizations, one a pitcher with the Texas Rangers, and the oldest is a outfielder with the Houston Astros.

My goal is to bridge that gap you have when the parent is not getting thru any longer and quite frankly has taken the player as far as they can.
I have been coaching in L.L, 13 to 15 age, Tournament Teams, and a past hitting coach for our local H.S baseball team for 3 years. I work with girls softball players, as the hitting mechanics What l teach can cross over to both boys and girls.I believe in refinement over repitition as to not compound the problem but rather diognois the problems and eliminate weaknesses.

I did not play college ball but was a very good H.S. pitcher with strike out records when I played. I observed very closely my boys at the college level and now at the Pro Level. I believe I have a unique background not only to teach but also to mentor the player that loves this game on how to handle him or herself to be noticed. I believe in a strong core , Abs, Hams, Back and Glutes.I believe tee work is essential, and work in the cage done with a purpose as all drills. All players are unique, and should be success driven not drill driven.

That is a little about me and would be honored to help those wanting to be more successful on the diamaond.

I don't believe you have to be a gifted athlete to be able to teach hitting or pitching, but you have to able to understand mechanics and either pick out flaws with the naked eye or thru video.
I enjoy teaching kids to expand their skills, fun is seeing them being able to take pitches to the opposite field after just learning the technique to allow them to do so.
For me to help a player to achieve more success on the field is validation that what i am teaching is getting thru to the player. Success on the field will always be the result of good mechanics and we haven't even approached the mental side of stepping on the field.

"Poor mechanics in the game as a whole"
We as coaches need to stress the importance of refined mechanics,It is not acceptable to just like your swing because it is comfortable it has to go deeper that that for the player to be successfull while still being able to adjust to the game. A good base will alow Him/Her to adjust much easier to the competition.

I did not attend college but rather spent a career in the trades. I was a very good athlete in Baseball and Basketball, able to break a strikeout record twice at my high school.

"Individual Plans"
I would like to adjust my plan to what that individual player needs by seeing them once. Ideally though i would always suggest a light stretch, followed by a short run, Med ball work, Stretch bands and Pysio ball.
For pitchers I will put together a spring training schedule in a 4 or 8 week plan with graduated pitch counts to be ready by the start of their league.

* note:
If you are not ready to put multiple sessions together to eliminate weaknesses you will not see the full benefit of this instruction, I want to see you more than once and more importantly develope a friendship thru baseball.

Client Reviews

Coach Tim really impressed my 12-year old son and our family. Tim showed him some very useful hitting and pitching techniques and he picked up on them right away. He really wants to continue sessions with Tim and we'll definitely use him again.

Coach Tim did an excellent job of breaking down the steps to build solid mechanics for my 13 year old lefty to improve his pitching. Coach Tim is an excellent coach.

Jake really enjoyed every minute of his session with coach Tim. He felt like he learned more in one session than he had all season. His tips are great and Jake will be able to be a real asset to his team with what he is learning. Thanks coach Tim!!

Coach Tim was knowledgeable, patient and clear. He made appropriate suggestions and offered encouragement at the right times. It is obvious my son will benefit from his instruction.

My 10 year old son Carter had his first baseball coaching session with Coach Tim. My son and I were extremely impressed with Coach Tim as a person and baseball Coach. His knowledge of baseball and teaching methods were impressive. My son really learned the fundamentals of properly hitting a baseball. Carter is looking forward to trying Coach Tim's batting recommendations, and he wants to have more baseball coaching with Tim.
