More About Coach Tim

Hello, my name is Tim. I have a wealth of experience coaching and training male and female athletes. Throughout the years I have trained male professional athletes that play professional basketball and baseball. I have also trained male college athletes in basketball, baseball and track and field. I have and continue to train female athletes who play college volleyball as well as college basketball. I am the Director at New Age Volleyball Club and I coach and train all our athletes. Currently I am the head coach of our top National 13s team but I have coached many different age groups. As well as sports specific training I also run our IMPACT Sports Performance Program that is strength and conditioning based and consist of but not limited to: balance and footwork, strength training (weights/band work), speed training, mental/emotional confidence training and much much more. I am also a Certified Vertimax trainer and I do Vertimax sport specific training or Vertimax strength and conditioning training for athletes 10 and up. I am a very detailed coach/trainer and I believe in intense training and as an athlete we should train to compete.

As an athlete myself I played basketball, football, ran track and played soccer growing up. I was naturally better in baseball but my passion became basketball and in high school my focus was that sport. Ultimately, I played college basketball as well as professional basketball. In college I was a 4 year starting point guard. I finished my college playing at Delta State University. Professionally I played all over. I played in Europe. (Italy as well as other European countries). I played in the Middle East. (Qatar as well as other countries). I played all over Mexico on different professional teams. In the United States I played in many pro Ieagues and teams. CBA (Now called NBA G-League), IBA, USBL, ABA and IBL to name a few. I could go on and on. I won championships in college (our conference and we went to the Elite 8) and 5 professional championships. I was also named as All District, Defensive Player of the Year, MVP, Best Scorer ect many times throughout my high school, college and professional career.

It is difficult to say what a "typical" session looks like with me because all athletes are different. I meet you where you are athletically and give you details throughout the training that will lead to lasting success. For example, if you are a brand new 11 year old athlete to the sport of volleyball I will give you basic fundamental instructions on how to have good volleyball posture, basic passing fundamentals and well as basic overhand serve techniques. But if you are a 2 year club player and you are 11 years all we can do more details such as how to transition quicker with detailed footwork and body movements, better platform angles and detail breakdowns of setting and hitting or whatever position they may play. The same would be said for an older athlete. The one similar characteristic of each session will be details will be provided with intense drills at some point in the training. I'm big on having the athlete being focused, giving maximum effort and communication in each session. No matter the training or sport.
