More About Coach Tiffany

I was a 4 year starter at a Division I University. I have been giving personal softball lessons to highschoolers and college athletes for 8 years. I incorporate the knowledge and the skills that I have learned from being a Division I student-athlete at BYU, my coaching jobs, and from my strength and conditioning work experience. I personalize each lesson based on the needs of the athlete.
I strive to enhance hitting technique and the athlete's mental approach. I focus on getting clients to college by helping them with collegiate research and distribution of recruitment letters.

I enjoy working with players of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with those who dream to be playing in college. My specialties include: Hitting, slapping, and all position play. My passion is to help develop growing athletes into Champions on and off the field.

Experience:
Education
As a full time student athlete at BYU, I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge regarding the principles and concepts taught in human anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, personal training, coaching, and nutrition. These courses, along with my internship, have strengthened my coaching preparation allowing me to teach others how to keep their body healthy and strong and how to obtain optimal athletic results.

Playing Softball at the Division I Level
Being a part of the BYU softball team has taught me many important life lessons and crucial coaching incites. I was nominated to be team captain by my fellow teammates and by the coaching staff my junior and senior year. This huge responsibility gave me the obligation to be a strong, humble leader who would lead my team by teaching, by encouraging and, most importantly, by leading by example. I love any opportunity I receive to motivate players to do and be their best on and off the field. This leadership role strengthened both my communication and deliberation skills, allowing me to work well with both the athletes and the coaching staff. Above all, BYU softball has taught me the importance of hard work, determination, teamwork, and being passionate about the sport that you love.

Working with Student-Athletes
It is one thing to do and another to teach, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to work with athletes of all ages. I have experience working as a private coach with the goal of enhancing individuals' techniques and mental approaches. My coaching jobs and internship have prepared me to teach proper knowledge of the game, athletic advancement, goal-setting skills, and methods of improving mental toughness. My passion is to coach and council student-athletes striving for excellence in academics, athletics, and character building.

Her .481 on base percentage was the ninth-best mark in a season in BYU history
Ended the season No. 3 in sacrifice bunts, No. 4 in on base percentage and No. 9 in batting average among WAC players
Went 4 for 4 at Southern Utah, only the 26th time in BYU history a player has had four or more hits in a game
Went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI, 1 run and 1 walk against Fresno State in the WAC Tournament championship
Hit a 2-RBI single in the NCAA Regional opening win vs. Mississippi State
Scored 2 runs in five-consecutive games during series against Southern Utah and San Jose State
Played in 47 games with 41 starts

Each athlete is different, and to treat them the same with the same session plan would be tragic. For a hitting lesson I typically start all clients off the T. Once we have gone over mechanical strengths and weaknesses, we can move on to different drills including: front toss, side toss, machine work etc. I will share with each athlete any drills that i know to fix mechanical or timing issues. I start and end each session with a discussion so I know that we are on the same page, and that we understand each other.

Coach Tiffany is an excellent coach! My daughter took to her immediately and within a few minutes, Coach Tiffany had identified and addressed issues with Julia's hitting mechanics. She immediately started crushing the ball! Coach Tiffany gives such positive reinforcement and Julia really responded to her in an amazing way. Coach Tiffany was outstanding! Her knowledge of the game and the way to implement the correct fundamentals are out of this world. She has the ability to coach athletes who are preparing for the next level, like few I have seen or worked with.
