Tiago O.

Originally from Brazil, where I developed my passion for soccer from a young age, I have been coaching since 2009 and have built extensive international experience across multiple levels of the game, working with players from U6 to the professional level.

My experience includes academy, semi-professional, and professional football across Brazil, England, Spain, Portugal, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Latvia, and Ireland, including work within Ireland’s Second National Division. In the United States, I have worked as both a Director of Coaching and a Coach, gaining valuable experience within MLS NEXT, ECNL, UPSL, and NPSL environments.

My qualifications include CONMEBOL C, B, and A Licenses through the Argentinian Football pathway, a UEFA C License, and I am currently pursuing the UEFA B License with the Scottish FA. I have also earned coaching certificates from both the Paris Saint-Germain Academy and the FC Barcelona Academy.

I came through youth academies in Brazil, where the standard is known to be extremely high and competitive. Although I did not reach the professional level as a player, the experience taught me invaluable lessons about the game, discipline, and mentality — lessons that I carry with me and apply in my coaching every day.

My coaching philosophy is centered on helping players reach their highest potential through the four essential pillars of high performance: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development. I focus on improving coordination, decision-making, and technical quality on the ball, while also developing the mindset, confidence, discipline, and resilience needed to compete and grow at a high level.
