More About Coach Theresa

I started a girls empowerment fitness club! We meet two times a week. We start each class with a mantra for the day and workout/run 30-45 minutes of the day followed by reflection! My boyfriend plays professional basketball in FInland but when he is home in the summer we do basketball training camps. I have coached basketball at elemantry to highschool level in Seattle, WA. I typically work with girls 8-16. I am currently getting my NASM certifcate.

I was on Varsity basketball for four years in highschool. I was the MVP for my team my sophmore- senior year as well as captain my sophmore- senior year. I got offered a scholarship for college but got injured. I have a passion for the game and want to teach everything i know.

We start each session with stretching.10 min.
10-15 minutes dribbling/passing
dribbling. Stationary. 20 seconds left/right hand rotate a couple times.20 seconds cross over dribble. 20 seconds 1 bounce crossover dribbles. 20 seconds behind the back

Passing— pass her ball take two dribble pass back right hand 10 times, switch to left hand.

Over head pass, pass back and forth 20 times.

Movement dribbling/ Dribble up to half court or 3 point line right up right hand back 3 times, switch to left hand up left hand back 3 times

Next every 2 dribbles cross over dribble, do the same coming back around 3-5 times up and back

10-15 form shooting

start close in front of basket. Make 5 without jumping hold follow through. Move out 3 feet make 5, free throw line make 5. Top of key make 5 jump shots

15-20 minutes shooting. Around 6-10 feet from basket

- baseline/wing/ free throw/ wing/ baseline *5spots

⁃ make 5 catch and shoot shots, next make 3 right hand one dribble pull up jumper into shot/ switch to left hand. Then move to wing. Repeat each spot

*water break is easy 2-5 minute time waster

8-10 minutes Moves to layups-

start under basket move her left and right wing. Right wing right hand lay up, left wing left hand lay up (if she can)

She runs out gets a catch to the wing, shot fake two to three dribbles to the layup.

Free throws *make 5
*water if need be
