The sessions I plan are customized to the individual keeping in mind their level, age, how they learn best and what they need in the given lesson.
Most lessons start by focusing on technical work (first touch, dribbling, moves, weighted passes etc.), then transition into shooting and big field skills. Players will improve their fitness/coordination with a ball and through targeted repetition.
Communication with the player and parents is also key in the development process, adapting to the changing needs of the player. I always like to improve our weaknesses while highlighting the players natural abilities! And of course why do it unless you are enjoying it, so lessons should have an element of fun!
