More About Coach Teohn

I have been doing skill development for the past 7 years. I have coached at the high school level. I have worked for 24 Hour Fitness and I am currently employed by Triple Threat Academy. I work with athletes from 10-45. I am USA Basketball and CPR certified.

I am a former division-1 and professional basketball player. I earned player of the year and all-academic in high school. In college, I earned first team all-conference honors. I played at Midland College as well as St. Mary's College of California.

Each workout is specifically designed for that client. In a typical private lesson, I'll greet my client making sure we start off on the same page and make sure they know what's ahead. We will get started by doing a dynamic warmup to get the heart rate up and the blood pumping. Once the player is warm, we will do some form shooting and attach the player’s weakness since their energy and motivation is high in the beginning, the focus need to be there since the drills will be uncomfortable. Once the player has built up some sweat, we will then do an active rest drill to help build their mental toughness. I would then progress to some type of read and react drill to get a sense of their feel for the game and also to see if they can adapt/adjust on the fly. We will then move into the client's strengths just to keep them sharp. I will finish the workout with some type of conditioning drill for those late game moments. Once the session has ended, I'll do a quick review of the workout and give the client homework and any advice or answer any question (s) that the client may have. High five or fist bump on them on the way out!
