More About Coach Taylor
I have trained club teams for Brausa United futebol club in Baltimore, Maryland, from the age group of 2005–2011. I have also trained the 2008/2009 Christos FC boys team in the Super Y summer league. This is a team that also went to nationals in December 2023. I also have done multiple private lessons for children of all skillsets. I have coached players from rec soccer to EDP, ECNL, and all divisions of the NCAA college chain. I am able to work with children of all ages as well! I do not have any certifications right now but I am looking to get my official coaching license as soon as I can.
I am currently playing professional soccer for New York City FC II (NYCFC II). I am new to the Bridgeport/Connecticut area, and I am looking to grow local talent to the next level! I was drafted in the 2024 MLS Super Draft by New York City FC in round 3, pick number 66, and I am now signed. Previously, I attended division 1 program UMBC, where I won 2 back to back America East striker of the year (2023-2022), 3 1st team all conference appearances, and one all rookie team conference appearance. I won the team MVP in both 2023 and 2021 as well. I was also a high school All-American player while completing at the club level. I know what it takes to make it at all different types of levels, and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with the players I train as well.
We would first begin with some mobility and stretching. Then, we would move to a dynamic warm-up without the ball. After the warm-up, we will move on to some agility with either cones or ladders while completing some technical work either during or after the agility. After the agility and technical work, we will move on to either some passing or dribbling (we could do both depending on time and what the player needs to work on). After this, we will work on more positional training based on their specific position. Then we will finish off with some finishing or some type of competitive activity.
