Tapanga Moten

I am a dedicated volleyball coach with experience training athletes of all ages and skill levels, with a strong focus on foundational development and skill progression. My coaching approach emphasizes proper technique, confidence building, and game understanding while creating a positive and motivating training environment. I work with beginners through intermediate athletes, helping them develop strong fundamentals, improve consistency, and prepare for team play through structured, intentional training sessions.

I started my volleyball career at Red Oak high school where I grew the passion to pursue a volleyball career. Throughout my 4 years of high school I also played for TAV for 3 years. For college I attended Shaw university where I played my first 3 years of volleyball. I have attended championship all 4 years of college and have earned 2 championship titles while earning Rookie of the year , 3x all conference Middle Hitter throughout my three years at Shaw. My last year I played for Kentucky State university where I earned incomer of the year.

I offer 1 on 1 teaching to my students. I work on basic breakdown from offense/ defense as a hitter as well as a defensive passer (DS). As for hitters (outside , middle and right side) we work on approach footwork to and off net as well as blocking footwork. I take what my players already know and help build their skills to well equip them for their collegiate career.
