More About Coach Sydney
I hold a USSF Class C License and have worked with players from youth to ECNL, college, and even semi-professional levels. I’ve coached with FC Barcelona Academy, a minor league USL team, and a state-ranked U12 squad, where I was recognized as a finalist for Ohio Coach of the Year. Many of my athletes have gone on to make varsity as freshmen, while others have earned ODP and state-level selections.
I’ve also privately trained players of all ages, tailoring sessions to their individual goals and helping them build the technical skill, tactical awareness, and confidence to reach the next level. Come to me with your goals, and I’ll create a plan to get you exactly where you need to be!
I played minor league soccer in Ohio for the USL W League right after high school, gaining experience at the semi-professional level. Before that, I was a four-year varsity letter winner and a multi-year Ohio ODP player, competing against some of the top talent in the state.
Throughout high school, I broke multiple program records, earned numerous awards, and helped lead my team to new milestones. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to compete at higher levels, which I now bring directly into my coaching and training sessions!
My training style is very hands-on and high-energy. I don’t just hand out a list of drills; I’m out there engaging with athletes and working alongside them. I focus on creating an environment that feels competitive and game-like, so players are challenged, motivated, and prepared for the next level.
A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up and ball-control drills, followed by tailored work on areas like first touch, finishing, speed and agility, or positional awareness. I provide constant feedback, adjust technique when needed, and add pressure to simulate real-game situations. Every session is built around the athlete’s goals, with the goal of leaving them sharper, more confident, and ready to compete!
