More About Coach Steve
I am currently a Coach and Instructor at Los Angeles Xtreme Baseball Academy.
I specialize in pitching but teach hitting and fielding skills as well.
I will teach anyone with a desire to learn the game and improve their skills.
I pitched and played shortstop at Palos Verdes High School from 1988-1990 earning 1st team All-Bay League honors in 1989 and 1990. I was named to the 1st team All-Area South Bay in 1989 and 2nd team in 1990.
I pitched at Los Angeles Harbor JC in 1991-1992, earning All League honors in 1992.
I received a scholarship to pitch at the University of Hawaii-Hilo, where I spent a semester before transferring to Chico St to continue my academic studies.
My sessions last one hour.
Pitching sessions focus on proper mechanics, maximizing velocity, proper grips and learning pitches, and pitching strategy.
Fielding sessions focus on proper techniques and maximum reps.
Hitting sessions are generally in the batting cages working with tees, soft toss, and live batting practice.
