More About Coach Steve
In 2012 I had begun my coaching career with a team called Elite Baseball Training in Chicago. As a coach I had focused on using video analysis to help pitchers increase velocity on the mound and hitters increase power at the plate. Through this method, many of the players I had worked with moved on to play at the college level. Currently I do team coaching with Chad Moeller and his Dinger teams in north Scottsdale. My goals with all of my players is to help them achieve their goals to compete at the high school and college levels.
My playing experience is at the division 1 level at the University of Iowa. I have traveled around the nation and played with and against some of the best competition in the country. Many of these schools have been in major conferences such as the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East and many more.
Most of the drills I use in my lessons are targeted at utilizing leg and core strength, as these are the key muscles to increasing power at the plate and on the mound. I use slow motion video software on a laptop to help compare throwing and hitting motions to those who play in the major leagues. I use video every session to track the progress of each individual. These videos are also emailed to the players/parents so they can study them at home.

Justin Stone/ CEO Elite Baseball Training (Testimonial)
Coach Stone’s comments on Steve Hague – “Stephen is a great role model for north side baseball players. A product of Welles Park, Stephen played at St. Ignatius and eventually the University of Iowa. This is the goal of many of our players we work with around the facility. If you ask, they’ll tell you that they would like to play baseball for as long as they can. Well, Stephen did it, and he worked hard to get there. He’ll be one of our most popular instructors at the youth level.
