I played basketball in high school and two years of intramurals in college. I believe in fundamentals of the game before you can move on to anything else. Ball handling, including dribbling and passing, are key to be a successful player at any position at any level.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with kids, boys and girls, from 2nd grade to 8th grade for the past eight years. This includes park district teams to travel and Jr. high teams. I stress movement of the ball, of their bodies and playing hard man-to-man defense. I feel tough defense leads to offense. Movement without the ball includes setting off ball screens to open up players.

I have won a girls championship at with an AAU girls team, as well as a couple park district championships.

My sessions always begin with warming up, moving on to basic ball handling skills and then moving into other areas of improving those skills dependent on the level I am working with.

Played high school and college intramural. Have coached youth basketball for the past eight years, 2-8 boys and girls as well as travel teams and AAU. Coached an AAU house league girl's team to a championship. Currently coaching Jr. High boys team,8th grade girl's feeder team and two AAU travel teams.
