More About Coach Stephen
I have coached ages 3-18. I also specialize in goalkeeper training. I coach high school, middle school, and club soccer.
I coached ages 3-18 in NYC and have coached high school, middle school, and club soccer in both NY and NC. I currently coach at Carolina Day School and Ecusta FC.
I have completed the D and C license courses from US soccer as well as grassroots and safe sport courses.
Played collegiately at UNC as a goalkeeper. Won a national championship in ODP for NC as a player. Won a state championship in club soccer.
I was an all-region player in high school and a national champion at the ODP level for the state of North Carolina in 2006-2007. I was a goalkeeper at UNC in 2007.
For field players a focus on strength, agility and position-specific training. For goalkeepers a focus in all aspects of play. In addition focus on leadership and life skills.
We will begin with a high intensity warm up followed by specific skills for your position. My focus is on creating a relationship to support the player in all aspects of life, as well as a continuation for training as we build on each session. I will also attend games as well as track progress through a google document which I will share with the player and family.
