More About Coach Stephen
I’ve coached and trained youth players ranging from ages 6 to 18 in both individual and group settings. I grew up with a coach in the house, my dad, so I’ve worked with players at the recreational, club, and high school levels, helping them build solid fundamentals and transition their skills into competitive play.
My coaching style is shaped by my own experience as a pro athlete—I emphasize technique, smart decision-making, and mental toughness. I’ve led sessions focused on position-specific skills, speed and agility, and tactical awareness. I also make sure each session is engaging, positive, and goal-oriented.
I currently play professionally for Westchester SC in USL League One. Before turning pro, I went to UCLA and played soccer there. Later, I played professional in first division teams in Europe. This is now my forth year playing back in the USA, in USL League One.
Since turning professional, I’ve trained and competed with some of the top talent in the world, gaining experience at a high level of play. These experiences have shaped how I approach training young athletes—with attention to detail, discipline, and a mindset focused on growth.
Each session is designed to be high-energy, focused, and age-appropriate. I tailor every workout to the player's level, position, and goals—whether they're brand new to the game or aiming to compete at a high level.
We’ll start with a dynamic warm-up to get the body moving and improve mobility. From there, I focus on technical drills—things like ball control, passing accuracy, and 1v1 moves. Depending on the athlete’s needs, we might work on finishing, speed and agility, first touch, or positional play.
Every drill has a purpose, and I make sure it translates to real game situations. I end with either small-sided games or pressure-based challenges to build confidence and decision-making. The goal is to help players develop not just their skills, but also their awareness, discipline, and love for the game.

Yazalde Pinto (Testimonial)
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Stephen not just as a close friend, but also as a true professional in every sense of the word. Watching him compete at the highest level has been inspiring—but what impresses me even more is how he brings that same energy, discipline, and passion when helping coach younger players. He doesn’t just show them how to play—he shows them how to think, how to prepare, and how to carry themselves on and off the pitch. Whenever we worked with talented youth, Stephen's presence elevated the entire environment. His feedback was clear, constructive, and always focused on helping players grow. I’ve seen kids light up from a single piece of advice he gave them. He has a unique ability to connect with them, push them, and still make it fun. That’s rare. Any player or team that gets the chance to work with Stephen is lucky. He leads by example, and he never stops giving back to the game. — Yazalde
