More About Coach Sheena

I am a 27 year old dedicated tennis player and coach with over 15 years of experience as a player and 8 yrs of experience as a coach.
With my extensive experience as not only a coach, but as a successful player, I can provide a player at any level with the right guidance and knowledge to realize their goals.

I have coached ALL levels of players and have years of experience as a hitting partner for players on the WTA. It is my promise, as a lover of tennis, that I will provide you with the best coaching possible. If we don't seem like a match, or if I feel I cannot help you, I will not waste your time or money. Honesty is my motto. I will be honest with your tennis and what we need to work on.

I have coached group/private lessons since I was 17 for aspiring players on the Hickam Airforce Base in Hawaii as a branch of the Hawaii Tennis Academy.
I continued my coaching in college as well, in Pittsburgh when I played for the varsity team at Carnegie Mellon University.
In Greece, I coached weekly at the University of Athens as well as a hired hitting partner for the men's team.

Can't wait to hear from you! Let's discuss your future in tennis today!

I played competitive tennis as a Junior and participated in tournaments such as Zonals, Intersectionals, Supernational Claycourts, Easterbowl, Orangebowl, Copperbowl etc.
I was always top 2 in my section, Hawaii-Pacific.
The following year I transferred to University of Southern California to continue to play for the Varsity team and later for the Club team after I spent a year abroad in Greece.
I was trained at the following tennis academies, here in the US as well as in Spain and in Japan.
-Bolletieri Academy, Florida (4 yrs) with private instruction from Nick Bolletieri.
-Chris Evert Academy Florida, (2 summers)
-Saddlebrook, Florida (1 summer)
-Nike Tennis Academy at Stanford University (1 summer)
-Brugera Tennis Academy, Barcelona Spain
-Sanchez Tennis Academy, Spain
-Juan Carlos Ferrero's Equelite Tennis Academy, Spain

At our first session, we will start with an assessment of where you are with your tennis. I or my assistant will feed you balls so I can take a look at your spectrum of shots, your movement, grip, and style of play. We will follow up by discussing your goals as a player, if you are looking for a coach, a hitting partner (for competitive level players), or training for a tournament.

Our sessions will incorporate coaching, general fitness, footwork, game play, match practice etc. Whatever it takes to fit your needs.
