More About Coach Shaan
My name is Shaan Sharma and I am a professional soccer player that is currently playing for the Maryland Bobcats. This is my fourth year playing professionally and have a passion for coaching, specifically individual or small group training. I enjoy focusing on a player's personal goals and honing in and working towards those goals, no matter how broad or specific those goals may be. I take pride in my training sessions being enjoyable but still challenging and productive.
This is my fourth year as a professional player and I am new to the DMV area. I currently play for the Maryland Bobcats of the NISA League. In college I was a member of the Division 1 Men's Soccer team at William and Mary. After graduating in 2020 I signed with Stumptown AC of the NISA league for 2021. After playing in Charlotte, I signed for Western Suburbs in the New Zealand first division for the 2022 season. In 2023 I played for Club de Lyon of the NISA league before transferring to the Maryland Bobcats for the 2024 NISA season.
In a typical 1on1 training session I will begin with technical work tailored towards the player and their skill level. After technical work I like to focus on drills that are position specific or goal oriented depending on the player's experience and competition level. Regardless of the age and skill level of the player I always like to have fun with the sessions.
