More About Coach Sekou

I have trained middle, high school, and college athletes between my years playing as well, whether it was summers or breaks for about 7 years now. I’ve coached a number of AAU teams such as WeR1 in the under armour circuit and the Delaware Sharpshooters as an assistant and trainer. I also coached a lot of little league youth teams. My main niche is developing athletes one on one and teaching fundamentals before game situations and then sharpening what you are good at and developing whatever else is missing. I’m usually ages 8-25 because I train as if you are a pro. I want you to want the best for yourself so I instill the greed to be great in all of my clients. I just graduated and now that I am seasoned and more mature, I feel I have mastered the art of basketball, I believe it’s all about how hard you are willing to go!

Averaged 15 ppg in the NEPSAC conference as a Senior in HS before committing to Bloomsburg University
I averaged 12 ppg and 5 rpg at the Division 2 level but per my games started in 2018-19 season at Bloomsburg University I averaged 19.6 ppg and 5 rpg as a freshman which led me to All PSAC Freshman Team and Freshman of the Year Finalist.
I then picked up an agent after Covid year trying to go overseas and that is still a goal of mine!

My clients can expect a hard nosed but fun workout where we stimulate every muscle in your body including your brain. We will start off with a conversation based on how you are feeling and life and what you feel your weakness is. Then we will go with a stretch for about 10 minutes then immediately we go Mikan Drills to around the rim shooting to get a feel for where we are working out. The workout will consist of 3 main things no matter the template and that is conditioning, fundamentals, and the focus of the day. For example if this session you want to focus on shooting, I have a shooting workout that can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Within that workout, there will be a lot of running to simulate game like situations along with the drills to become better. This will also include 30 minutes of fundamentals where we can go over a plethora of things such as footwork, discipline on offense or defense, reading your defender, making the right reads, how to throw certain passes etc. Then at the end we will go over the weakness you want to sharpen for about 15 minutes and we end with free throws. At the end of the workout we can discuss how you felt afterwards and if this is something you want to do because I know I’m giving 110% to all of my clients and I really am not worried if they hate me because I want to make them TOUGH. You work with me for long enough, you will become a premier player, one everyone will yearn for.
