I attended 4 years at Culver Military Academy playing for the Varsity A hockey team. Following Culver Military Academy, I played in the USHL for the Lincoln Stars, Indiana Ice and won the Clark Cup in 2008-2009. While playing in the USHL I earned a 4 year scholarship to play division I hockey at UAH and was named a captain my junior and senior year. I helped lead UAH to the CHA title in 2009-10 season. After my senior collegiate year, I attended the Nashville Predators rookie camp and main training camp in 2013. Following training camp, I went on to playing two years professionaly and finished up in the ECHL playing for the St.Louis Blues farm team in Kansas City, Missouri.
Other notes: I come from a hockey-rich bloodline; My great-grandfanther, Howie Morenz was an NHL Hall-of-Famer. My grandfather, Bernie Geoffrion is also a Hall-of-Famer, has his number retired by the Montreal Canadiens, and is credited for inventing the slapshot. My father Danny Geoffrion also played in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens and The Quebec Nordiques (Now the Colorado Avalanche). My brother Blake Geoffrion, played at the University of Wisconsin, won the Hobey Baker award (Top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player), and has played for both the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens.
I have been giving lessons in my offseason for the past 5 years and mostly focus on power skating, stick handling, shooting, and overall knowledge of the game. I also give a lot of off ice exercises to do to help certain bad habits.
Clients must purchase the ice and we will work together to find a time that works for both of us. I look forward to helping you out !
