More About Coach Sean

I am a native of Pitman, NJ where I played for Pitman High School from 2005-2009. During my career at Pitman, I lead the Panthers in scoring my senior year and was named First Team Tri-County Conference and Second Team South Jersey. After graduating from Pitman, I attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick where I joined the Men’s Soccer team as a goalkeeper. I graduated in 2014 earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and psychology. During my time with the Scarlet Knights, I earned American Athletic Conference All Academic Team. Since graduating, I have played with the Ocean City Nor’easters reserves squad and, most recently, played for Phoenix SC in the United Soccer League of Pennsylvania. While with Phoenix, I have featured in many first team matches including playing in multiple state cup games and was on the roster for Phoenix’s Lamar Hunt Open Cup qualifying run.

Over the past six years, I have been on the sidelines at Pitman High School as the Head Girls Soccer Coach from 2015-2017, at Holy Spirit High School as the Head Boys Soccer Coach in 2017, at Buena High School as a Assistant Boys’ Soccer Coach in 2018, and most recently as an Assistant Girls’ Soccer Coach for Absegami High School in 2019. During my coaching career, I have coached numerous goalkeepers to All Conference recognition. Outside of my roles at the high school level, I serve as the Head Goalkeeper Coach and Head Youth Trainer for Winslow Township Youth Soccer, Nike Soccer Camp Director in South Jersey, and Division Specialist for Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA Camps. Recently, I was named the Goalkeeper Coach for Philadelphia Lone Star FC training the goalkeepers for our Women's Premier Soccer League, National Premier Soccer League, and USL League Two teams. Last season with the women's team, our goalkeeper was named all conference in our inaugural season.

I have earned coaching licenses through United Soccer Coaches, U.S. Soccer, and the National Federation of High Schools and I look to continue pursing advanced licenses this season.

I typically like to evaluate any athlete on the core skills of their position. For example, if I am training a goalkeeper I will test save technique, handling, distribution methods, cross play, and overall shot stopping ability. From this evaluation, I will develop a targeted plan to develop the athlete further in the areas I have deemed weaker while maintaining a holistic approach to the position.

Client Reviews

Coach Sean has proven to be an outstanding trainer from day one. He really connected with our son one-on-one which was lacking in other trainers he worked with. Being an active keeper himself, Sean is able to understand both the physical and emotional needs of a keeper and help prepare the kids he trains. This approach has been instrumental in helping to build our sons confidence along with his goal keeping skills. His drills are awesome and exactly what you would expect from a college trained keeper. I would highly recommend Sean to anyone who wants their child to advance and more importantly enjoy the position.

Coach Sean was awesome! He is personable, energetic, and communicative. Our son received terrific instruction and feedback from him, and is looking forward to the next training sessions.

Coach Sean was very professional and organized. My daughter really enjoyed their session. He used great drills and techniques We will be committing to more training.
