More About Coach Sean

As a youth I had the opportunity to grow up in a town that had a strong youth lacrosse program. With that being said, I rose the ranks and became one of the best players within the program and furthered my career into one of the local club programs called Leading Edge. This club program eventually led to my recruitment to play Division 1 Lacrosse at Providence College. After going through four years of Leading Edge Lacrosse I finally had the opportunity to continue and to give back to the program going into my freshman year of college. I was able to coach 5th grade club lacrosse for Leading Edge. This opportunity was a great time to gain coaching experience and learn from other coaches. After finishing up the season with Leading Edge I also had the opportunity to give back to my alma mater Seton Hall Prep. I helped coach their summer program “pirate lax” for the last weeks of July and parts of August. These two coaching experiences combined with the amount of time spent within the sport makes me more than qualified than most to coach your son or daughter in lacrosse.

As a youth I had the opportunity to grow up in a town that had a strong youth program. With that being said, I rose the ranks and became one of the best players within the program and furthered my career into one of the local club programs called Leading Edge. As a high-school student I had the opportunity to attend the private catholic high school Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, New Jersey. At the Prep I was fortunate enough to play all four years on the Varsity Lacrosse team. During my four-year career I tallied 100 career points as a Midfielder as well as being named captain for my senior year. Furthermore, I was an All-County and All-State selection my Junior and Senior year. After graduating from Seton Hall Prep I continued my career at Providence College where I started as a Freshman and tallied 16 goals as a Freshman midfielder.

2017: Appeared in 13 games for the Friars, including 12 starts… Registered 17 points on 16 goals and one assist… Collected five groundballs and caused one turnover… Awarded the program’s Rookie of the Year. Lead the Friars to first big east final in school history.

2018: Started every game for the Friars, Registered 36 points on 26 goals and 10 assist. Awarded Big East Honors after four goal performance against Brown in Ocean State Cup Final.

2019: Injury/Red Shirt

2020: 9 Goals 13 Assist in 6 games before season coming to a close because of COVID-19.

What now?
Pursuing an MS in Business Analytics at Notre Dame. I am playing lacrosse there and was also the 23rd pick in the MLL draft.

The session will begin stretching and warming up before beginning any activity. Depending on the position that your athlete plays I will introduce common concepts of what it means and what it takes to be an elite player at the specific position. After that we will commence drill work that will take your athlete to the next level. For example, for midfielders and attack men we focus on dodging and shooting while defensemen will focus on foot work and playing on ball defense with the feet and fists technique. Furthermore, I can assure you that your money will be worth it because I have been coached at various level of lacrosse and now play at the highest level. I know what I am doing and please feel free to call me to call me if you have any questions.

Thanks-Sean Leahey

Client Reviews

My 12 year old son really enjoyed working with Coach Sean. He is extremely knowledgeable about the game and has many great drills that teach the fundamentals. He keeps the workout fun and interesting and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a lacrosse coach for their child

Sean is great with the kids. He keeps practice fun and competitive.

Coach Sean did a great job in our initial coaching session. Coach Sean is training my 12 year old son and nephew and did a great job with the boys in their initial session. He showed up early and was prepared to go. He worked well with the boys, and the boys enjoyed the session and picked up some good pointers in the first session. It is apparent Coach Sean has the talent and ability to coach, and the boys are looking forward to their next session.
