I coach youth lacrosse players in the fundamentals of lacrosse and beginning strategy to develop the LAX IQ. My approach is always based on the needs and priorities of the player.

I was not fortunate enough to play lacrosse as a youth due to its not being in SC until after I graduated college. I grew up playing competitive travel soccer through college. I was a marking back and apply the same footwork and defensive strategies to coaching youth players how to make an opponent play to the non-dominant side and be able to play passive and active defense. Taking a line to cut off opponents is something many players today do not understand and it is critical to all players on a lacrosse field.

My sessions are structured based on the needs and goals of the players. If 1:1 time is needed, we will focus on the skills we need to strengthen and prioritize the time on the skills where improvement will provide the greatest outcome. If time with other players is needed, I have a network of youth players always interested in getting some additional time on the field and your player can benefit from my 1:1 instruction during game scenarios possible from a group setting.
