More About Coach Samantha
I received my bachelors degree in exercise physiology in May of 2015. I have coached cheer clinics at the YMCA in large groups of young girls. I am comfortable working with young cheerleaders at any level of experience ranging from 7 years old through high school. I have 3 years experience of being a swim instructor, so I have worked with young people in both large groups and small groups including private 1 on 1 lessons. I have continued my certifications in First-Aid and CPR for 6 years.
7 years of gymnastics and 16 years of cheerleading experience and excelled in jumps, tumbling, basing and flying. 4 years in All-star cheerleading and received Grand champion 2 years in a row and bids to several national championships . 4 years in high school and received 1st place in conference. 4 years of D2 College Co-ed Cheerleading.
I will tailor each sessions per request to the client. I will focus on what the client feels he/she needs to improve on, or if the client is unsure of where to start I can run through a few basic skills tests in each area (i.e. Jumps, Tumbling, Technique, Flexibility, ect.) and we can put together a plan to focus on the areas he/she needs. I will also guide my clients in at home workouts in between sessions so each will have improvement from the last. I start every session with warming up the muscles for about 10 minutes, then work on the areas of improvement for about 30-45 minutes, following 15-20 minutes of strength/flexibility conditioning. *session times will vary per request of the client.
