2002 World Champion Los Angeles Laker with 15 years of professional experience. I've played with such teams as the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat and Dallas Maverick domestically, as well as Korea, China, Russia, Lebanon and Syria abroad. My passion for teaching triumphs my playing experiences and I've spent the last 10 years coaching kids and adults to help them reach their personal goals in the sport of basketball.

Fundamentals are the backbone of the game of basketball and are the major teaching points of my program. I believe the fundamentals of foot work and ball handling should be established before introducing speed and agility and other components of the game to beginners. For the more advanced athlete I introduce speed, agility and more dynamic movements that should be practiced routinely to challenge the athlete for complete body control and skill development. I stress the necessity for watching and understanding practice and game film to develop the mental aspects of the game which correlate directly with IQ and understanding how to read the game of basketball.

Excellent first workout. My players were challenged and pushed outside their comfort zone. Samaki pushed them to go hard and made corrections when needed. Overall great experience, we will be back.

I never imagined what an amazing experience it would be to see my son working with Coach Samaki. You can look at his experience as a basketball player and know that he is exceptionally talented but what I saw today is that he is equally talented working with young players, and can inspire them to be the best athletes they can be. You have Kobe, Jordan, Shaq, and SAMAKI WALKER!!! He's the best coach ever and the nicest person you'll ever meet. He had me shooting jump shots like Jordan in the first 30 minutes. One warning, watch out for the fans/photographers. Samaki is fresh out of retirement so he's still a BIG DEAL. He will be big time very soon so you better hurry while he's still "giving back." I've already booked my next lesson.

My friend and I had an awesome training session with coach Samaki. We were interested in learning about box-out, position battling and rebounding and coach Samaki's drills and lessons fully covered our needs. During the session, he was closely monitoring our progress and always giving helpful instructions or personal demos when we were doing things incorrectly.
