More About Coach Salim
I am a Sports Physical Therapist and Strength and conditioning specialist. I have coached at the High School and College Level. I spent 2 years as a graduate assistant coach for the Rockhurst University Soccer Men’s soccer team. I oversaw the strength and conditioning aspect of training (especially focused in injury prevention) as well as assisting with technical and tactical programs. I also assisted with ID Camps for potential newcomers at the program. I typically work with the ages 13-22 focused on becoming stronger, faster, more technical and tactically aware. Aside from soccer I spent time with strength and conditioning of Division II volleyball, softball, and basketball teams.
Rockhurst University Men’s soccer player for 4 years (Division II NCAA). 3x NCAA Final four appearances.
Class 6A high school all state for 2 years, including 2x regional player of the year.
You can expect a warm up and cool down that are focused on preparing for the session and injury prevention. I use a mixed style of strength and conditioning along with technical and tactical drills to help build on field awareness and strength and durability on the field. I will be a teacher and explain the purpose of drills and exercises for true understanding a carryover on the field. I will also cater drills to each position - attackers, midfielders and defenders will all have their position specific drills that must be done.
