More About Coach Ryan

I have been running personal baseball lesson with over 30 athletes for the past 10 years. I have helped numerous youth and teen athletes improved there athletic skills.

I was a Left Handed Pitcher for the San Diego State Aztecs and graduated in 2011. I lead the team in appearances out of the bullpen my junior year. In the summer I played for the prospect league in the Midwest I was voted on the 2010 First Team All Star team as LHP of the Year. In high school I was voted as MVP For Patrick Henry High School 2006 & 2007.

I focus on building consistent mechanics that are clean, easy to repeat, and that generate maximum power. I typically get to know the athlete do a solid warmup for a minimum of 10 mins to get body lose. Most of my
Pitching drills are based around balance and holding weight and power on the back leg and driving the force toward the plate in a controlled fluid manor. As far as Hitting Mechanic I usually focus on a simple bat path and hip movement to generate power. I also will focus on getting good backspin and distance.

So happy we found Coach Ryan. Our son gained so much in just the short time that he worked with him. He taught him little things that the team / practice coaches never focus on at this age. Coach Ryan has been working with my 9-year-old son now for a couple of weeks on his pitching as well as hitting. Not only have we seen quick improvements in both areas, we have watched Nicky’s confidence increase, especially in his pitching. Ryan has put a lot if not all his focus on Nicky’s mechanics while not overwhelming him by trying to fix and/or change his natural swing and throwing motion. After their lesson we do a recap so that we can all be/stay on the same page while we practice at home or with Nicky’s team.
Ryan also has a genuine way about him that has allowed him and Nicolas to bond quick; as his parent, that is very important.
We highly recommend Ryan W. and will continue working with him.
